Software, Development Tools and AI Lead | Europe North

Guide major Nordic enterprises on generative-AI adoption across the software development lifecycle, combining strategic advisory with practical engineering experience. Demonstrate AI-assisted workflows and testing approaches inspired by formal verification.

Novo Nordisk

Principal Software Engineer

Led a cross-functional team of around 20 delivering a modern lab platform and a new agentic research application. Owned product vision, technical direction, migration strategy and delivery from concept to production. The team migrated 4 TB of historical data into a platform serving nearly 2,000 users. Built on Azure and Azure AI Foundry, the AI application combined retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), data processing and a custom UI integrated with an existing application to support experiment queries and scientific writing.

Head of Software (Contract)

Established and led a four-person software and controls team for an advanced materials startup. Built the foundations for automation, control software and IT/OT data flows, connecting hardware and software engineering.

LEGO Systems

Lead Software & Data Engineer

Led an eight-person team enabling LEGO's enterprise-wide data mesh strategy. Drove platform architecture, engineering enablement and adoption of shared engineering practices across the organisation. (Go, Databricks, Python, Scala)

Microsoft Quantum

Senior Software Engineer

Led a globally distributed team of five building the data platform for Microsoft's quantum-computing programme, integrating data sources and IIoT instruments across research labs worldwide. Championed diversity and inclusion initiatives across the European time zone. (Azure, Go, C#, Python/Spark)

Amie.ai

CTO & Co-founder

Co-founded Amie.ai and took a graph-based notebook for data scientists and researchers from concept to production. Built the supporting data pipelines and internal tooling. (TypeScript, Elm, Go, PostgreSQL, AWS)

Microsoft Research

Senior Software Engineer

Created and led development of QCoDeS, an open-source platform for experiment control and real-time monitoring in quantum laboratories in Copenhagen, Delft and Sydney. (Python, TypeScript, Spark, F#)

Research Assistant

Developed numerical methods for X-ray signal analysis and automated image processing for nanowire experiments. Taught computation and data management. (Python, F#)

Education

MSc, University of Copenhagen

2012–2014

Thesis: III–V Semiconductors Nanowires Growth and Characterisation. Built software to sort thousands of microscope images, measure millions of particles and process high-speed X-ray recordings for nanowire research.

BSc, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice

2008–2012

Thesis: Sunlight Radiation Downshifting in Cover Glass Doped with Copper by Ion Exchange. Contributed to experimental design and data analysis using optical spectroscopy and X-ray absorption.
